Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral: History and Conservation lecture

As part of The Churches Conservation Trust's series of lectures, on Thursday 3rd of June, Twentieth Century Heritage Consultant, Jon Wright, will be discussing the history and conservation of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the country’s most well-known Post-War buildings. A distinct design in European architecture, the cathedral’s pinnacle-crowned stained glass lantern tower designed by Piper and Reyntiens, makes it a unique jewel in the North West of the United Kingdom.

Despite this, the building has had long-standing issues, particularly with its crown, of which Purcell have addressed through Getty-funded projects.
